Wayfinding & Navigation

Designed around real-world movement patterns to support fast, in-the-moment decision-making.

Prioritized quick access to exhibits, events, and amenities to help users navigate and find information efficiently during their visit.

 

Information Hierarchy

Organized exhibit details, schedules, and attractions into clear, scannable layouts so users can quickly find relevant information in context.

 

Interface System

Created a cohesive visual system in Figma aligned with the zoo’s existing brand, focusing on clarity, readability, and ease of use in real-world conditions.

Used consistent color, iconography, and layout patterns to create a familiar and accessible experience.

Research

Conducted on-site observations and user conversations to understand visitor behavior, pain points, and information needs.

 

Reviewed similar apps across zoos, aquariums, and theme parks to identify common UX patterns.

Outcome

Delivered a high-fidelity interactive prototype in Figma demonstrating a mobile-first navigation and discovery experience designed for real-world use in complex environments.
